About Me:
I'm just a little old grandma trying to make the world a better, more accepting place. If we each started in our own little corner and practiced kindness, it would make the world a better place for all.
I wrote this book seeing all the diversity in my own family. Most children's books have the usual family system with a mom, dad and kids. But in real life, all families do look different.
We all have different beliefs, different religions, different cultures, different everything! Some of us have two dads or moms, some of us have lots of siblings while another might have none. Some children are born into a family while others are adopted into their family. Some of our parents are white, black or the many other shades of skin we are born in! Let's all celebrate being different and let kids know it's ok to not all look alike!
